It's no secret that the thought of a super bowl appearance crossed the minds of all Tennessee Titan's fans near the end of last season. The team made it to the AFC regional playoff game, but fell short in the end to the Cincinnati Bengals. So is there anything stopping us from making it back again this year, and proving to the NFL that we are a force to be reckoned with?
Unfortunately, I think so. I don't believe that Ryan Tannehill is the man for the job at the QB position. Sure, he's got the experience, and there is no arguing that he is talented. However, he is aging (34 years old at the time of writing), and I believe that he just doesn't have the stuff he had at say 28 or 29.
I'm hoping that I will come back to this post in a few months, and I will have been terribly wrong. I hope that Mr. Tannehill has the best season of his career and breaks all of his personal records. But reality is a tough pill to swallow, and I just don't see him being the savior that us Titan's fans desperately need.
